Sally Raspin has lived in Tasmania, Australia, and on the Bruce Peninsula of Ontario. She divides her time between tending a large market garden and creating stories and art, mainly in watercolour.
Her article on roadside veggie stands--such as the one at Orchard Knoll--appeared in The Rural Voice. Australian publications such as Back Yard Farmer have also used her words and illustrations.
Sally wrote Grandma's Turkeys to share her farm life with urban grandchildren who may never stroke a friendly turkey. She hopes small children everywhere will understand a little more about the origins of their food and about life outside the city.
